12 People Killed and 31 Wounded in Fort Hood Shooting

The suspected gunman in the Fort Hood shooting has been identified as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
The gunman used two handguns. It is unknown if the shooter reloaded the weapons during the attack.
It was reported that the shooter was killed by civilian law enforcement and one police officer died in the shootout, but later announced that shooter and the officer survived and are now in stable condition.
The gunman's suspected accomplices were taken into custody in an adjacent facility known as the old Sports Dome Complex.
The FBI is assisting military with the investigation.
